Maple flavor compliments an array of styles including Red Ales, Brown Ales, Porters, and Stouts. However, it's a hard flavor to get to come through in homebrew because maple syrup can ferment out almost entirely, leaving no maple flavor left behind. Maple flavoring extract is made with all natural flavors and can be used to add, or boost, maple flavor in homebrew without the risk of fermenting out.
