Medium toast French oak chips. Roasted between 350 and 375 degrees F. Usage depends on the style of wine or beer and the strength of oak flavor desired. It is recommended to start with 4 oz of oak chips for a 6-gallon batch or wine or a 5-gallon batch of beer. Let sit for 1 - 2 weeks and sample. Let sit longer if desired, checking on flavor periodically. 4 ounce bag of medium toast oak chips.
