New Zealand Rakau was re-released in 2007 from the New Zealand hop breeding program and is often described as “the whole orchard.” Rakau is often used in New World styles where brash tropical fruit character and big but well-constructed bitterness is desired. Rakau is truly a dual-purpose hop and performs best when used in combination of late additions and dry hopping. Its high alpha acid content and tropical aromas of passionfruit and peach make it well suited for hop-forward styles like IPAs and Pale Ales. 1 oz.
