Notes

10 minutes left in the boil, accidentally dropped a 'plastic' cup holding hop addition and yeast nutrients into the boil!
Cup immediately melted into the boiling wort and efforts to retrieve it quickly with hands/ spoon were futile.
Cup was made of biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA), a plastic substitute made from fermented plant starch (corn) — but I dont think we want to consume this.

As wort cooled, noticed a weird white flaky specks / film develop on the top of the wort.

Dumped wort… decide to rebrew another day :(

(Also, totally missed my target gravities – I suspect this was because I left the mash unattended and temp dropped 10ºF at the end of the mash. Grains most likely were not milled well – decide to add more grain next brew and do a proper attended mash and a mash out)
