Notes

BIAB with less volume (2 gallons)
Mash started at 153ºF
15 min –148.5ºF
30 min – ?
45 min – 137.7ºF
60 min – Mash out to 154ºF for 10 mins

Pulled grains up off of wort in bag, suspended with binder clips (good new method so far! especially for lighter grain bills)
Recirculate with 0.5 gallon of wort (manually with pitcher over grain bed)
Sparge with 0.5 gallon water over grain bed.
Took bag and placed in 0.5 gallon of sparge water to let it soak as boil started with 2.5 gallons
Gravity reading looks good pre-boil: 1.053!
Hop additions and 60 minute boil went well – post-boil gravity was: 1.065!
Undershot volume by almost 0.5 gallon — boiled 0.5 gallon with 8oz of DME and some leftover sparged wort (at 1.020 gravity)
Added this extra into the fermenter to get over 2.5 gallons
Pitched 1L starter at 70ºF
Fermentation activity almost immediately that night.
