Danger, Will Robinson! This is my second attempt at brewing this kit. Use the largest brew pot available. This kit readily boils over a 5 gal brew pot. Bring up to a boil slowly! Consider a defoaming agent for both the boil and primary fermentation. I spent 1.5 hours this morning cleaning foam and dried wort off my bathroom walls after an explosive decompression last night. I purchased a 7 gal Fermonster because I've only had to use a blow-off hose twice in 40 years of homebrewing so I thought I'd have enough head space to accomplish this without difficulty. I was wrong. This should have been the third time for the hose. On my prior attempt to brew this, I lost 1 gal to boil-over on the stove. It was fantastically popular, but you have to be extra careful when brewing/fermenting.
