mash 3 gallons of water at 165–167 °F (74–75 °C) (this is strike temp) When all the malt is stirred in, check the temperature; it should be between 148 and 154 °F (64–68 °C). If the temperature is too low, add heat or boiling water to bring it up to the proper temperature. after 60 min , sparge 4.5 Gallons of water at 170 °F (77 °C) through grain bed to brew pot.
