Notes

My first stout, it was fermented for 12 days at Temps between 54 and 64 it was pitched at 58 it had an OG 1.082 FG 1.020 using my not so secret ingredient well water with low nitrates it produced a nice clear black ale with a chocolaty aroma and taste and a foamy tan head. It is pretty good although stepping down the black Prinz from 1lb to .5lb to enhance the gambrinus is a good idea but still smooth with it at 1lb I made this recipe with the help of this program in its beta stage at the store with Matt ' s help i would suggest WLP007 for any high gravity ales that stuff is a beast. I used a blow out tube from the airlock to a growler you actually could do a 5.5 gallon batch I did a 5 gallon with very little blow out.
